Anglianbus MAN EcoCity Gas Bus Launch

The launch of Anglian Buses first MAN EcoCity Gas Bus was held at Lowestoft Bus Station this morning with a ribbon cutting with Managing Director Andrew Pursey.

Only six of the thirteen have arrived so far, the rest are expected in the new year. The buses that were launched today were running the new 146 Service that replaces the 525.




Anglianbus have invested 2.6 Million million in these buses with help also from the Governments Green Bus Fund. They are fuelled by biogas, a renewable energy source produced from biodegradable waste materials (food waste, crop residue etc.)








The buses carry a range of different liveries advertising how economical the vehicles are.

The List of the current six MAN EcoCitys are as follows:

601 WX62HHP
602 WX62HGU 
603 WX62HHF  
604 WX62HHE  
605 WX62HGG  
606  WX62HFU

There rest of registrations will be listed in due course.


When all 13 arrive they will be running on services in the Norwich, Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft area from the Beccles depot.
